| Directions |
North
outta the metroplex. I take I35E to Denton, then 380 ( just north of
Denton ) west to Jacksboro.
Some of
you may take 287 north out of Ft.Worth to Jacksboro. Either way follow 287
into town, and take a left at the first light which will be 380 west
again.
Follow that to
Bryson ( population five hundred something... ) and look for a left turn
which will be 3209. The track is 1.5 miles on your left.

| Description |
I like this track. Hard and Fast!! With plenty of
hip and shoulder room.
It's
mostly hardpack with a silt covering. There are a (very )
few rocky sections. And one tree section ( one tree ).
I'm
gonna gear for speed and use a intermediate to hard tire
with +3psi.
Seriously, it will be dusty, true enough, but if you
liked the high speed and fairly flat Jacksboro II, then
you'll like this one even more.
I
measured 8.5 miles on the gps, but the mile markers on the
track were a little long...meaning when I got to the 1
mile marker, my gps said 1.1. When I got to the 2 mile
marker my gps said 2.17. So I used his markers on the
track map, so they would match...so don't think the track
is short, it's regulation, just marked a little funny.
And
as far as markings are concerned, you'll see from some of
the pictures, that the markings are closely spaced, out in
the open, easy to follow, and generally excellent.
The
PeeWee track follows suite.

| Camping |
The camp area is large and flat..and smooth as well.
No shade in the main camp area though. And please watch
your fires...it's drier than a popcorn fart out there, and
a single match on that dry grass could cost a lot more
than a dark spot on the ground!

Rating |
Lots of roads and access to the racetrack. But please
let's watch what we're doin' and not risk anyone's life by
playin' chicken with an oncoming racer...I'll be
very,,,put out if we have to waste a racer's tree hittin'
bandages !! |
